Change is hard. Or so they say. But people change every day.
What people don’t like is for change to be thrust upon them.
But this can’t be helped.
Things happen. Accidents happen. Circumstances happen.
And you’re forced to either change or be changed.
I’m seeing this happen now as my company goes through a transformational change.
People have either accepted it, or they are fighting it.
Those that have accepted it have started to learn new things that will take them forward. Trying to understand what they need to learn, and how they need to act.
The others, they’ve looked to plant seeds of dissent in between, trying to have others rally behind them.
So far I’ve seen people accepting the changes. Which is a good thing. It is taking the company forward.
Those unwilling to change, however, are only hurting themselves in the long run.
It is not necessary to change. Survival is not mandatory.
